Description

This dance is published as a one-dance- 4 page A4 size leaflet with on the front cover the dance name and three illustrations by D.R.B. Blackwood of Cuillins of Skye, Holyrood House and Neidpath Castle. p2 and 3 have the dance description nd p.4 the music score for the tune Dan Blackwood (=original tune for this dance) by Marian Anderson.

Dedication: Devised by Sue Porter July 2003 for her father, Dan Blackwood’s 80th birthday on 4th August 2003, which he celebrated while attending the Senior Class at Summer School. Dan is the illustrator of the Society’s notelets and many posters depicting dances. This dance shows his connection with theScouts, painting and having a ‘reel’ good time dancing.
