The Tower depicted in our emblem stands on the top of Darwen Moors of Lancashire.
Built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee in 1897 of Queen Victoria, its correct title is "Victoria Tower", but it is locally known as "Darwen tower" or "The Tower", hence the name of the first dance in this book.
