Welcome to the website of the Dundee Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Scottish Country Dancing is a very social activity - a good way of meeting people and making friends. It is also recognized as an excellent form of exercise as shown by research carried out by the University of Strathclyde, published in 2010. If you are new to Scottish country dancing, please click on the New Dancers tab above.
We run CLASSES for adults and young dancers, and also have a varied programme of dances throughout the year to suit all ages and abilities.
We welcome any dancer or interested person as a member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, whether they attend Branch classes or not. Further information on all the activities and advantages of joining the RSCDS can be found on the Dundee Branch website.
The distances in this list are geodesic distances (“as the crow flies”) between places with dance groups, rather than road distances between dance venues. Also note that while there may be several dance groups in the same town or city, their dance venues may be distant from one another even though they are all lumped together under one marker on the map.
