We intend to run a series of classes especially for new dancers in 2023, so please let us know if you are interested.
2023 : Classes restart on Thursday 12th January, 2023
Classes start at 7.30pm prompt. Please arrive a wee bit beforehand to change into your dancing shoes. Hand sanitiser is provided.
Our next event is the Nice & Dance on Saturday, 4th March, 2023, at Longtown Community Centre.
This dance is organised jointly by RSCDS Lockerbie, RSCDS Carlisle and Borders, Penrith CDC and Cockermouth CDC.
We started these twice-yearly dances in 2012, in order to introduce all our beginners and newer dancers to the social dancing side of SCD, with the opportunity to meet dancers from other SCD groups and to become part of the wider SCD community. Our dances provide a relaxed and enjoyable evening, with great live bands, a straightforward programme, and a fantastic bring and share buffet supper. Music, dancing, and food : what more could you want ?
The distances in this list are geodesic distances (“as the crow flies”) between places with dance groups, rather than road distances between dance venues. Also note that while there may be several dance groups in the same town or city, their dance venues may be distant from one another even though they are all lumped together under one marker on the map.
