The deviser writes: “There are several reasons for this particular name. The first is I did fall over in the very first dance one evening in full view of everyone, and it hurt, so I don’t want anyone else to do the same! Secondly, I wanted to name a dance after Mr. Chater, my teacher, but he wasn’t very keen on this idea, so I had to call it something else. –When I danced this dance with a team, the verdict was, ‘a quick thinking dance’, so it is really for slightly more competent dancers”.
