The Imp in question is The Lincoln Imp otherwise my husband Keith.

The Half Rondel is a formation by John Drewry and is first described in his Rondel book (1967) . It appears in his dances Marischal College and Twa Rogueish Een, and is not to be confused with half of a Rondel, The Half Rondel is another of John Drewry’s formations which has not been used by the RSCDS, so does not appear in the manual. Drewry devised it for use in Reels and Jigs as the Strathspey Rondel does not translate well into the faster tempos.
