This dance was devised to make use of the record “Fiddlers to the Fore” published by the B.B.C. The music used is the Reel played by the 150 fiddlers on side 2. It is suggested that you listen to the music for 32 bars before starting to dance, as the fiddlers play for 9 rounds of the dance.
The debut of FiddZer’s Joy was at Pinewoods in 1971; the music sounded well in the open air.
Any similarity to a dance previously published is purely coincidental.
