The Atholl Scottish Country Dance Club meets each Tuesday, from mid-September to mid-May. Dancing starts at 19:30, and continues until approximately 21:45, with a short interval.

There is live music each week, usually provided by Iain MacPhail leading a three-piece band.

We normally have a 16 dance programme and these are published well in advance on the club website and on the Scottish Country Dance Database.

The club is suitable for experienced dancers with an awareness of steps and formations. We only recap/walk dances that are new to the club or that haven’t been danced in a while; these are indicated in advance. If there are a lot of cribs in evidence, or on request, other dances can be walked, though we like to keep things moving as much as possible.

Nearest Groups

The distances in this list are geodesic distances (“as the crow flies”) between places with dance groups, rather than road distances between dance venues. Also note that while there may be several dance groups in the same town or city, their dance venues may be distant from one another even though they are all lumped together under one marker on the map.
