Because of Covid, it is best to contact the Branch to determine whether classes and events are happening.
The Nova Scotia Scottish dance groups have weekly classes from the Fall through the Spring.
The Valley Scottish County dancers have advanced classes on the last Saturday of each month, except, perhaps, in the summer.
There are approximately 6 Branch socials held monthly on Sunday afternoons from September to March. We have a workshop each November, with beginners and intermediate/advanced classes. Each year, usually in May, we have a Branch-wide Tea Dance in Truro.
Check our website for details and contact information for the separate dance groups.
In 2017 we were excited to publish the booklet Spark O' Water of locally devised dances, with a companion CD by Keith Smith and Muriel Johnstone.
More information and order details can be found on our website.
The distances in this list are geodesic distances (“as the crow flies”) between places with dance groups, rather than road distances between dance venues. Also note that while there may be several dance groups in the same town or city, their dance venues may be distant from one another even though they are all lumped together under one marker on the map.
