Welcome to the profile for the Dunedin, FL branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. We started in 1980 as the Scottish American Society, then had an official formation in 1995 as Dunedin Scottish Country Dancers. We encourage Scottish Country dancing for the fun, exercise and the social connections it can provide. We currently offer weekly social dancing during our season, progressing each night from basic to more advanced. We also host an annual ball with live music for our dancers at all levels of experience. Becoming a member of Dunedin Scottish Country Dancers helps us continue the traditions of Scottish Country dancing and allows an individual to vote during the annual meeting.
The distances in this list are geodesic distances (“as the crow flies”) between places with dance groups, rather than road distances between dance venues. Also note that while there may be several dance groups in the same town or city, their dance venues may be distant from one another even though they are all lumped together under one marker on the map.
