Dingwall Scottish Country Dance Club started in 1962 and has been affiliated to the rscds since 1978. We meet in Conon Bridge Church Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30 pm. We welcome adult dancers of all levels from beginners to experienced dancers. Visitors to the area are welcome to join us when they are in the area. In addition to our weekly classes from January to June we now run twice monthly classes in the summer. These have proved popular as most other Clubs in the area are taking a break. We run 2 rallies, in June and October, to live music. In the last few years we have held tea dances on Sunday afternoons featuring familiar and favourite dances which are aimed at less experienced and less confident dancers. Since 2016 we have had an interesting link with the Highland Archaeology Festival and run a tea dance on an archaeological theme. A new initiative this year is that we are sponsoring a local young musician to attend the musicians course at St. Andrews. Please come and join our active Club on a regular or occasional basis. You will be made very welcome.
The distances in this list are geodesic distances (“as the crow flies”) between places with dance groups, rather than road distances between dance venues. Also note that while there may be several dance groups in the same town or city, their dance venues may be distant from one another even though they are all lumped together under one marker on the map.
