- C1&C2, C3&C4 set and rotate
- 9-12
- C2&C1, C4&C3 right hands across
- 13-16
- C1&C4 left hands across
- 17-24
- C1&C4 dance the rose progression
- 25
- 2nd and 3rd ladies advance into the centre moving down slightly and pull back right shoulders to face up. 2nd and 3rd men advance into the centre moving up slightly and pull back right shoulders to face down.
- 26
- C2&C3 set to the left and pull back left shoulder to face the opposite side.
- 27
- C2&C3 set to the right (back to back with partners) and pull back left shoulder to finish ladies facing down and men facing up.
- 28
- C2&C3 set to the left.
- 29-32
- C2&C3 turn partners 1 ¼ by right hand to own sides.
- 33-40
- eight hands around and back.
