Dance Video A Dance Through the Decades (Video 1)
Central German Branch dancers, recording the dance for the RSCDS Virtual Festival 2023.
The entire video shows the dance being danced 3x through, however the 2nd time through is probably best to learn the dance as the 1st time has some costume changes which might make it more difficult to follow (3rd time through contains small errors).

- 1W followed by 1M casts off 2, 1W crosses below 3c and casts up M side while 1M dances up the middle, both to P’s place {6}, 1c set (to 1x, 2, 3)

- 1s+2s dance Rights & Lefts
- 17–24
- 1W turns 2W RH | 1C turn LH slowly 3/4 times to end between end couples, lady between 2s, man between 3s. 2s step up on bar 23+24
- 25–32
- 2s+3s set twice while 1s set once & petronella turn to 2nd place opposite sides | all set twice on sides (to 2, 1x, 3)
- 33–40
- all dance Grand Chain, 2s at the top cross to start
- 41–48
- 1s+3s dance LH across | 1W (face out) followed by partner casts down 1 place around 3M & dances up to face 1cnr while man pulls back RSh to face his 1cnr
- 49-56
- all dance 6 bars of Dance to Corners and Set (couple in middle change places with corners passing RSh, corners pass RSh in middle with a 1/4 turn to right to face next corner while supporting corners set (2 bars); repeat twice). Then 2s and 3s dance on one place clw while 1s dance round each other RSh to 2nd place opposite sides (to 2, 1x, 3)

- 1M+3W also 1W+3M set & Petronella turn in tandem into middle | set & Petronella turn in tandem to sides (to 2, 3x, 1)
- 65–72
- 3s dance Reels of 3 across (man up, lady down; giving LSh to 3cnr to start) {6} 3s cross over RH (to 2, 3, 1)
- 73–80
- 2s set, cross down RH to 2nd place (3s step up) | 2s set, cross down LH to 3rd place (1s step up) (to 3, 1, 2). Repeat two times from new positions.
