There is also a simplified version for near beginners in the instructions. It differs at bars 9-24 which need the most phrasing. I am not sure why everyone is slenderized. The music I am using is Nottingham Lace recorded live.

- W w/ M on left side RH across half
- 5–8
- M repeat LH across half
- 9–16
- M circle round and back, finish skip change to place WHILE W dance ACW 4 bars, cast back, finish in middle
- 17–24
- Repeat with roles reversed, finish in promenade hold facing CW
- 25–40
- Advance to next place, set, repeat until back to original place
- 41–48
- W dance in, pull back RSh, set to partner, turn RH 1 1/4 to place
- 49–56
- M repeat w/ LH turn
- 57–64
- L fig 8 around partner and corner, start dancing in front of partner
- 65–72
- M repeat
- 73–80
- (Maypole RH across) 1C+3C dance in and dance RH across with hands pointed towards ceiling, spiral in on bar 6 and dance back to place
