I think you are mistaken at connecting this leaflet to Hugh Foss. I have an original leaflet for these two dances before me, publkiushed by Mozart Allan, notr Hugh, and Miss Murray of Lintrose eventually got republished by the RSCDS in Book 27, 1975.

My Mozart Allan leaflet claims copyright (i.e. for the Ian MacLeish musical arrangements of traditional tunes), but I can’t see a date. If published in 1954 as you say, this was long before Hugh Foss started any of his own publishing (which happened well after he retired to Galloway in 1956 - the earliest own-pub. date I have is 1963).

However, - separate Hugh Foss pub. matter - …as Stephen Webb may have told you , you have been lacking one publication of Hugh’s, namely the leaflet “Two SCD - Miss Jean Raeburn & Wheatly Hills”, pub. 1968. I sent Stephen a scan.=, so the correction may be in the pipeline,

Also, I see that you have noted that “Hugh Foss” also published the odd sheet & book for other people (with proper printing, not using duplicator stencils as with the Glandarroch Sheet series). Ian Powrie’s Farewell to Scotland was published by Hugh’s successors Hugh Foss (Formby). But Alex T Queen’s Angus MacLeod was otiginally published by Hugh Foss himself in 1969 - again I have the leaflet - the SNDC publication listed in the SSDD would have been a later reprint.
