Issue 1278: Possible duplicate entry?

Object

Description

In a fuzzy matching search for possibly duplicate dance entries I found:

Leeze-Me (http://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3766/) Leeze Me (http://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/10126/) both by devisor James South (http://my.strathspey.org/dd/person/363/)

The first (3766) has slightly more dance information, but the second (10126) has a recording. Might this be a mistaken dance entry for a recording of a tune whose name omits the hyphen?

Useful information: Brian Charlton, on Aug. 24, 2009, 5:47 a.m., in Strathspey Message 56451 wrote : “David South has produced a new CD in memory of his father called ‘To The Laird’. It is a double CD with the following dances: Highland Fair, Circassian Circle, Leeze Me (a 4x32 strathspey written by Jim South and with music by David - instructions included)” [plus 17 other dances, not listed here]

Could someone who has this CD or the publication “2001: A Dance Odyssey [10]” please send a scan of this dance to us at team@e-cribs.org? Then we can take care of this issue. Eric

Assigned changed to »anselm« (previously »None«)
Disposition changed to »Needs help« (previously »New«)

Heiko sent me the original description (scan from the CD folder). I have changed the name of dance 3766 to “Leeze Me” (as on the original), entered all the data, and transferred both the publication and recording links to this dance.

As there is no indication anywhere that a second dance of this name exists, the other entry (now named Leeze Me10126) is ready for deletion, but that may not be done till Anselm has transferred two collection links to dance 3766. [If you can empower us editors to reset such links it will reduce your workload.]

Greetings all,

Eric
