I found this in a ball booklet from 1990 for the Delaware Valley RSCDS Delaware Ball

Strathspey, 48 bars, square set.
Duthie 1-8 Grand Chain 9-12 First woman set to 4th man and turn him with left hands WHILE first man set to 2nd woman and turn her with right hands 13-16 First woman repeat with 3rd man, while 1st man repeat with 3rd woman 17-20 First woman repeat with 2nd man, while 1st man repeat with 4th woman 21-24 First couple set and turn with right hands to original places. 25-28 All circle left for 4 bars, ending with men ready for left hands across, right arms linked with their partners 29-32 Left ands across, ending in a circle 33-36 All circle right for 4 bars, ending with women ready for right hands across, left arms linked with their partners 37-40 Right hands across to original places. 41-44 All set to corners, highland schottishe. 45-48 All turn partner with right hands to place.

The dance is repeated once from the same positions
