Bars 1 - 4 1L followed by her partner cast down two places and crosses into 3rd man’s place while 1M finishes in 3rd woman’s place (2nd couple step up on bars 3 - 4)
Bars 5 - 8 1st couple dance RH across with 3rd couple (1L stays facing out)
Bars 9 - 12 1L followed by her partner casts up one place and crosses to 2nd place on own side of dance. (3rd couple step down on bars 11 - 12)
Bars 13 - 16 1st couple dance LH across with 2nd couple
Bars 17 - 20 1L sets to and turns 2L with right hand, WHILST 1M sets to and turns 3M with the right hand
Bars 21 - 24 1st couple turn 1.1/4 with the left hand and finish facing 1st corners
Bars 25 - 40 1st couple dance corners chain with 1st and 2nd corners. (1L finishes facing out)
Extra notes: At the end of the 2nd turn through of the dance, the original 1st couple stay facing out and cast off to 4th place on bars 1 - 2 as 4th couple step up.
Captain John Hunter commanded HMS Sirius, flagship of the First Fleet, which entered Port Jackson to found the colony of New South Wales, after rejecting Botany Bay as unsuitable.
