Description

I have the dance instructions and sheet music for the original tune as a photograph. Please advise an email address that i can send this to. Janet Cook spoke as an introduction to the performance in the video submitted. Rev. Group Captain Donald Wallace was Padre at the Royal Caledonian Schools in Bushey, Hertfordshire. When he retired, the school asked Janet (who taught dancing at the school) to devise a dance for Donald as he was so interested in dancing. The dance has shaking hands and chasing round movements because he was always going around the world meeting people and shaking hands with everyone. The dance is a little bit tricky. The children at the Royal Caledonian School performed it for Donald and he loved it. Brian and Pat Hamilton composed a tune, also titled Padre Donald Wallace. This is a link to his obituary in the Telegraph https://www.telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/2018/06/04/reverend-group-captain-donald-wallace-obituary/
