- Description

There is a second tune by Muriel called Mr John Drewry (see http://my.strathspey.org/dd/tune/6045/). I would not expect Muriel to give two tunes such close names. I expect these are duplicates, that should be merged. Eric.

In the mean time I discovered that in the original of Marischal College (https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/4179/) the tunes are listed as:
“Marischal College” by Nan Main and “John Drewry” by Nan Main.
Currently both https://my.strathspey.org/dd/tune/801/ and https://my.strathspey.org/dd/tune/6045/ have composer assigned as Muriel Johnstone. But probably one of them should be reassigned to Nan Main.
I also found that although https://my.strathspey.org/dd/tune/6045/ is currently named “Mr John Drewry” the original of Largo Bay (https://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/3710/) has ‘Tune - “John Drewry” composed by Muriel Johnstone’, with any “Mr”.
There are currently four recordings claiming to include tune #801. Three are strathspeys (as Largo Bay) and one is a jig. So I expect these need to be disentangled as well.
