Great! The way to submit a video is to go to the main page for the dance: http://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/17630/ in this case.

Then from the bottom left “Add” button, choose “Add video (from youtube/vimeo)”. You should then see a page where you can enter the URL to the video (something like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxxxxx or https://youtu.be/xxxxxxxxxx) and then select the video quality.

If the dancing starts well after the start of the whole video you can given an offset in seconds to the start. Same again if the display of this dance ends before the end of the whole video (eg in a demonstration medley). Here again its the offset in seconds from the start of the video.

After you click the Add video button at the bottom of that page one of the editors has to check it and approve it before it becomes visible on the website.

If you find other good videos that the site is missing please add them the same way! Cheers, Murrough.

I was going to say that as of now it is probably best to upload the video to YouTube or Vimeo and make the database aware of it as Murrough explains. The native video upload facility doesn’t seem to work quite like it should (and I’m waiting to see how the EU copyright directive thing plays out; right now I can always say that I’m only displaying stuff that is stored on YouTube and the copyright is YouTube’s problem; if I’m hosting video myself there’s more potential for trouble).
