- Description

There appears to be an inconsistency in the two cribs given for bars 9-16 SCDDB gives 2s cross up, cast off, cross R and 1s&2s set. MiniCribs gives 2s cross up & cast down, cross RH & set (suggesting that 1s do not set matching bars 1-8)
Thanks for all you do to maintain and expand this wonderful resource.

I checked the crib(s) against the original description of the dance in the “Whisky Collection” and (having written the SCDDB crib myself) am relieved to find that the SCDDB has it right: According to the full text, on bars 15-16 1st and 2nd couples are setting.
The words in the book are:
1-6 1st couple cross down below 2nd couple, cast up round them and cross over giving right hands to own place.
7-8 1st couple set once.
9-14 2nd couple repeat bars 1–6 up through 1st couple.
15–16 1st and 2nd couples join hands on the side and set once.
etc.
