Dance ‘Sybil Shaw Strathspey’ is definitely a strathspey, composed for my mother Sybil Shaw, but the 16 second music track played as an extract is a reel.

Thanks for reporting this. All the other tunes listed for that recording are strathspey tunes judging by other recordings they appear on. So I presume the wrong clip has been link to this recording.

I will assign this issue to Anselm who is the only one who can fix this. Cheers, Murrough.

This sort of thing tends to happen when the order of tracks of an album in my MP3 file tree (which the audio clips are prepared from) is garbled somehow compared to the order of tracks in the database. I’m travelling right now and don’t have access to my SCD MP3 files (they’re on a different computer) but I’ll look into this when I’m back home in a few days’ time.

Incidentally, if this happens then chances are that other clips for the album are also associated with the wrong dances. I’ll give the album a thorough check when I get to it.
