This dance is in a collection derived from a manuscript dated 1740 in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. “A Collection of the newest Country Dances Performed in Scotland” written at Edinburgh by D.A. Young W.M. 1740

Edited & adapted to conform with modern presentation by Jack McConachie, Fellow of The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing Incorporated (Scottish Country Dance Branch). The publication already stated: "In an original copy of this book, the inscription states that the dances are "Derived from a Manuscript dated 1740 in the Bodleian Library, Oxford. " This has been expanded as suggested.
