Hello,
Hello,
I produced the updated editions of Mary Brandon’s “Dances with a Difference” and “Memories of Fife” as well as the corrected and expanded edition of “The Emigrant Scot.” I would be happy to send PDF for each book if you give me an email address to receive them.
There is also a music CD for the new edition of “The Emigrant Scot,” by The Bluebell SCD Trio, led by Akiko Kasama-Saito. It is available through the Leeds Branch Store (England) and TAC Sound (Canada and US).
I have never added information to the database, but would be willing to do this for Mary’s publications/dances, if it is as simple as typing correctly in on-line text fields.
A M Allen

Thanks! The best email address to send PDFs is scddb-submissions@strathspey.org which goes to a number of people (including those who might be inspired to write cribs or draw diagrams).
We already have entries for all three of those publications (and the CD) so probably most of the information is already in the database (see https://my.strathspey.org/dd/publication/394/, https://my.strathspey.org/dd/publication/727/, https://my.strathspey.org/dd/publication/1358/).
If the CD is in the Leeds shop then usually Christine Parker-Jones has already added all the recording and tune details (see https://my.strathspey.org/dd/album/1125/).
Do your updates include additional dances or tunes, or are they mainly smaller corrections? A text list of them would be very useful.
Thanks for offering to make the updates yourself - however most changes to the database (except adding cribs and linking videos) can only be done by members of the editing team.
