I suspect that there is an error in the instructions for bars 28 -32 First diagonals should surely cross left hand, as 1’s cast to the right, and then turn 1s right hand half way.
Sadly I don’t have the original crib to be sure or to understand why David’s instructions are correct

Indeed, 29-32 is a mirror image of 25-28. The crossing is LH, the half turns RH (as the diagram itself shows).
The pattern is a “diagonal” form of Men’s Chain. (25-28 = diagonal La-Ch)
