As an extra is a .loose page ( on thinner paper) with the heading of Mozart Allan, music publisher plus telephone and address It has the dance description of the white heather jig by james b. Cosh And the remark : Tunes. To the adapted music of the Six Twenty Two Step. A + 8 bars. B + 8 bars. C + 8 bars. A + 8 bars. Omit 16 bars. A between B and C.

Hi Wanda, thanks for this information. I am sorry to say that I feel we can’t add any additional info from your submission to the database. We do not save any arrangement or copyright info along with the tune itself, not even the publishing year. As for the loose page: we have plenty of publications listed for this dance. Your info basically says that the tune was there (1960) before the dance (1964) and that to make the tune work for the dance, the tune had to be “adapted”. I don’t see how and where we could bring this information online.

FWIW, the story behind this tune is that it was written as the signature tune for a 1960s BBC TV show called The White Heather Club which featured SCD. This came on at 6.20pm, hence the “Six-Twenty Two Step”.
