Description

Re the following comments about the video -

“At the start at the 3rd time through, both 1s & 2s and 2s& 4s set and link, in the instructions only 1s & 2s do it.”

The comments are fair enough if one was referring to a video of a social performance, but, as this is a demonstration, repeating bars 1-4 to get first couple to the bottom is not unreasonable.

Many demonstration videos have far worse modifications made to the dances to get dancers into the right place to do the next dance in the performance.

I think what I am trying to say is that some leeway should be allowed considering this is a demonstration.

I have seen dances where the first four or eight bars have been repeated by the deviser to get first couple to the bottom - not that I can remember specific dances at this moment.

I tweaked the text a bit. I agree with your comments Iain, but Anselm’s guidance for video uploaders do ask that deviations from the expected choreography be pointed out (at least for dem and good quality) and I think Jamie was being very diligent in following that guidance.
