Iain Boyd asks (by email): Also, is/are the name(s) at the bottom left of Keith’s diagram correct?

If I understand the diagram correctly the bar counts for the intensity would be 862/888/888/444 = 59%, which disagrees with the information given in Overview.
Overview also misses the formations (3/4) Dbl Fig8 , Allemande Turn , and inverting double triangles
and mentions two formations missing in the diagram: Reels3 on the sides and 3 couples down and up
Can someone please send me a copy of the original description?
Eric

Dear all,
About Keith’s inquiry on the names, I’d say the names are indeed not correct:
(a) the crib states “Janes Stott”, the name on the Book cover is “James Stott” - ‘n’ should be a typo.
(b) “Charlie Candia” is not mentioned on the Book’s title page, the backside of the CD states that Charlie Candia has created the front cover. IMHO, this does not constitute authorship of the dance book… however, I do not have the book myself.
Best wishes, Heiko

What went wrong? Some of the errors mentioned above have not been corrected in the current copy on SCDDB. Has the upload of the fully corrected data failed? Look at the 3/4 turn on bar 7-8, “Janes”, the devisers, the dance intensity. Obviously this is not Keith’s corrected final version. Cheers. Eric

Hi Eric,
Web browsers tend to locally cache things like diagrams. You may need to persuade it to completely refresh the page. I just did that and now see the half turn. Also “James” (though still also with Charlie Candia). Cheers, Murrough.

Hi All,
I am a bit surprised because the diagram does not correspond at all to the original instructions I have.

Hello Roland Perhaps you could make an e-crib. That would help us all to understand what has gone wrong. Has there perhaps been a confusion with some other dance by Jim Stott?

Hi Eric,
E-crib added but the diagram does not correspond at all to a dance of the Argentine Collection 2020.
Maybe Margaret Spence can confirm if the issue she pointed out is actually for The Iguazú Falls or not?
I am going writing to Jim.
Regards
Roland

I have entered the steps and formations information using Roland’s e-crib as my source.
I wonder what source Keith has used. Are there perhaps two dances with the same name, or an earlier and a later version? I wish Roland success with his investigations.

Jim Stott has revised this dance. The original version began with reels of three. The new version starts with 3/4 double figure of eight. Revised version has been sent to the e-cribs team.
