Hi Mark, sorry, I have changed the dance to “Quadrille”, BUT I am not sure that I connect the dots right re the bar count. Do you want to say that this recording is showing the pattern above and we have 728 bars altogether, or does “… the dance shows the first set of …” mean that only a PART of the bar count is played, and if so, which? I cannot put this kind of jig/reel setup in the dance type field; only Quadrille and the full bar count. Will then add your numbering example to the notes IF this is what the recording plays.

This, and the Student Lancers on the same album, are awkward.

This dance has three commonly used names: • Lion Standard Quadrillles • First Set of Quadrillles • Standard Quadrillles. All three refer to the whole dance, so we need to add the two aliases.

The solution we came up with for the Student Lancers was to put the full structure in the notes, so the notes for this one would read “(8 + 32×2 Jig) + (8 + 24×4 Reel) + (8 + 32×4 Jig) + (8 + 32×4 Jig) + (8 + 32×4 Reel) + (32×4 + 16 Jig)”.

Then all we need is for Anselm to update the web interface to have the notes showing :)

Hi Mark, fine and thanks for making it clearer to me, now I got it. Changed the bar count to 728. I added the dance with its aliases and added the bar count in THAT notes so it will show with the dance. Didn’t include it in the recording though, just changed that to 728 bars as well. Issue closed.
