Heya team, I added all 249 dances to a new publication to bring the “second” Scottish Dance Archives aka The Donald Collection online, at least the list of the dances that are available online through the RSCDS London Branch. I left some notes there, but linked back to the LONG text of the original SDA entry: https://my.strathspey.org/dd/publication/436/
I would like to know if I can keep the title of the publication like this (as I made it up) and if someone could go over the notes in both publications as to determine what text should go where. I added additional text at the original SDA note section (link to the new SDA list).

As a virtual publication the name seems fine to me. The extra info explains what its about. I expanded the text slightly but given the long extra info text in the other publication I do not think we need to add any more text here. Though I did add the tunes for those dances whose online instructions include the music.

I contacted London Branch with some spelling mistakes within their online list I came across when adding the dances. Meryl (webmaster) changed some dances. Then Murrough found an older list he prepared way back for changes that were necessary in the overall list of 1800 dances. Meryl applied changes there too. With the help of Keith I could verify that the London Branch entry for a dance with two names “La Turque / Jingling Johnny” is correct as per “Pinewood Collection 3”; I therefore deleted the duplicate “Jingling Johnny” entry in our database and transfered all necessary info over to “La Turque” which had the alias “Jingling Johnny” for quite some time already. Murrough added a few more aliases to “The Guidman of Balangigh” as this official RSCDS name doesn’t go well with other common spellings and older historical names of the dance floating around. The issue is REALLY closed now. I think for the time being we could do what is possible to be in maximum sync with the London Branch site for the Donald Collection. Thanks to all involved!
