Description

Hi all,

you must have a different version of this. The one I have only has 5 dances

  1. The Deerness Reel
  2. Skara Brae
  3. Midhowe Broch
  4. Berstane
  5. The Dounby Jig It has Peter Wright 1995 on the ToC page with this.

Did Peter subsequently include them in a longer version, in 1995.

I would suggest assigning this to Eric Ferguson

I have an email from Peter in 2019 which states: When Eric was over for a conference, I hosted him for the Friday when he danced with us at the Westbury Club Night. He and I spent time ‘till 2.39 am sorting out all my dances into his format. So The Redland Reel, along with others like Brecon in March and The Good Dance, will soon appear as cribs for all to read. They will also appear as an AppleBook sometime soon, accessible from that public source - I’m an accredited ‘Apple Author’, but as yet with no publications! That will be entitled “An Orkney Connection” which was ‘published’ in paper form with the help of a friend in the New Forest Group of RSCDS people somewhere around 1997. Now morphed into “3rd Edition” with the explanation of its title and photographs. Not exactly confident of the meaning of “sometime soon”. I am not an Apple user so cannot see if this exists. If necessary I can try and determine the situation from Peter provided the email I have still works. Peter no longer dances in Bristol, not sure he dances at all these days. I will also see if any of our teachers have a copy of his paper book.
