When looking at recordings of the tune “This is no’ my Ain Hoose” I found two strathspeys and this reel. Poking around further I think there are three tunes with fairly similar names, one a strathspey, one a reel and one a waltz: eg “Mary Bain’s Wedding” (alias “My Ain Hoose”) & “My Ain Wee Hoose”. And at a quick glance it looks as though there is plenty of confusion of which of them is linked to recordings of all three types. I do not have time to check this properly right now but am adding an issue in case someone else has the time and enthusiasm to sort them out.

Well, I just sent Nicol a messenger request about it, perhaps he can shed light on the matter ;-)

Okay, Nicol kindly replied and confirmed that the correct tune used is “This is no my ain lassie”, not “this is no my ain hoose”. I corrected the tune for this recording and will leave a note, as all online resources show the wrong tune name.
