Description

There are three strathspeys 4C/4L of this name on SCDDB:

  1. http://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/14681/ (by Shirley Sim, published in West Lothian Book in 2006. Nothing needs to be done on this one.

  2. http://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/15128, by “Sarah Harriman & Torf”, and published in “Houston & District 30th Anniversary Collection”, page 14. I have the PDF of this dance, and the page numbering and deviser agree with that PDF. There is a Minicrib and Eric’s Crib. This dance was entered by me [Eric Ferguson] on Sept. 18, 2013,

  3. http://my.strathspey.org/dd/dance/15466/, by “Sarah Harriman”, and published as dance 8 in “Fun’raising Scottish Country Dances”, a booklet published by the “West Suffolk branch of the Alzheimer’s Society” in 2007. This entry shows no cribs but one diagram, which exactly corresponds to dance 2 above. This dance was entered by Keith Rose on 9th June 2014

There is evident confusion. Obviously the diagram now with dance 3 belongs to dance 2. We have two different devisers: “Sarah Harriman” and “Sarah Harriman & Torf”; both also have written other dances. And if dances 2 and 3 are duplicates, why was one published in the UK and the other in the US?

Could someone who has access to both publications please correct the entries?
