Description

There is a note attached to the video regarding bars 13-16 and 21-24 which describe the bars as they appeared in the original version of the dance and which differ from the way they are danced in the video. Bill Zobel published a later edition which notes that those bars had been revised as follows:

13-16 1st couple and 1st corners set to each other and turn with two hands to finish man between 3rd couple facing up, lady between 2nd couple facing down. 21-24 1st couple and 2nd corners set to each other and turn with two hands to finish in 2nd place on opposite sides.

The two Pillings diagrams that appear in the database use the revised version. And this is the version which appears in the video however, in bars 15/16 and 23/24 the dancers are incorrectly turning right hands, not both hands.

Would it be more helpful to simply note that the dance had been revised by the devisor and remove the description of the original version?

All the best Marjorie McLaughlin marjoriemcl@att.net

This is already stated in in “Extra Info”, as Marjorie discovered herself. I have rewritten the “Extra Info” for the dance and the video.
