Publication The Sheila Jupp Memorial Suite 1678

“In the mid-1980s, while I was working for the European Science Foundation at the University of Reading, I started dancing at the St John’s Scottish Country Dancing Club Wokingham. At that time the weekly classes were taken by Bill Forbes, while Sheila Jupp was the ever-present, ever-pleasant chairman who made everyone feel welcome. I have very fond memories of my time as a member of the club and made many friends with several of whom I kept in touch after I left Berkshire for Sussex in the 1990s, one of these was Sheila. After her death in 2018 I wished to mark this friendship and consequently devised the three dances in this leaflet.”
