All dancers wear Wellington boots and carry an umbrella. Devised for Berkhamsted SRC as a ceilidh turn at a club evening in the 1980s.
Notes:
- Dancers responsible for their own umbrellas except at allemande.
- Keep dancers well spaced in the set.
- Dancers should think ahead as to which hand is to be free and put umbrella in other hand.
- Unless otherwise noted hold umbrella in left hand throughout.
- In rights and lefts and turning right hand and then left change umbrella from left to right and back again at end of the appropriate even bar.
- The scene is a dem team about to dance and then thunder is heard, lightning is seen followed by the inevitable rain, imagined. Determined still to put on the show the team leave the stage and return wearing Wellingtons and carrying umbrellas.
