Optional ending to get 1st couple to the bottom of the set after 2nd repetition:
At the end of every second repetition, on bars 31–32, 1st couple accelerates at the end of the Comer Pass and Turn to cross by the left to finish at the bottom while the 3rd couple dances up one place to finish ready to circle with the couples above. (3rd man continues dancing while 3rd woman casts.)

This dance was devised by Julia Wyrick for Kate Fletcher in appreciation for the delicious home baked pies she brings to the Berkeley socials. Julie wanted a modal tune to go with the dance, so Steve wrote “a la Mode” to go along with the pie!
