Notes from the deviser: This dance was inspired by a return journey from the Scottish University Scottish Country Dance Festival (SUSCDF) held in Edinburgh in academic year 2021–22. The dance features “Hello-Goodbye Setting” which is a favourite figure of two Celtic Soc dancers, now teachers, Thomas Rintoul and Lucy Phillips, and who decided the group would have a spontaneous trip to a supermarket on the way back to St Andrews – needless to say everyone was still in kilts and ball dresses – though people have probably seen weirder in supermarkets!
