This dance is not to be confused with the The Brudenell Jig, also by Brenda Burnell, published by the RSCDS in A Second Book of Graded Scottish Country Dances.

The dance is named after the Brudenell Evening Institute, Leeds, UK. The deviser’s husband taught Scottish Country Dancing there, and eventually became head of the Brudenell Evening Centre.
