Thanks Diane. The situation is more confused than either of us expected.

I have scans of a publication “Clapyerhands 'n Stampyerfeet” with PDFs of four dances: “Robert the Bruce” (page 7-8), “Braveheart” or Sir William Wallace (page 8-9); “Stirling Castle” (page 11-12) and “Bannockburn” (page 14-15). The first three of these dances differ significantly from the Minicribs of these three dances at present (7th feb 2017) shown in SCDDB. There is agreement for “Bannockburn”. For each dance my PDFs have “Teaching points”, “Notes” and diagrams of some positions, and they specify “music” as CD Track 1 to 4 respectively.

It is clear that several versions of “Clapyerhands 'n Stampyerfeet” exist. This needs to be looked into.

REQUEST: Please see if you have a copy of “Clapyerhands 'n Stampyerfeet”, and check your version against this information and the Minicrib. I am sending a copy of my PDFs to the Minicrib team.

Help needed.

Eric

Thorough research on originals, cribs and variants seems to be needed. This task is more extensive than I wish to handle nowadays (2022) , so I am resettng this issue to “not assigned”. Eric

We have both a 2003 PDF which is the big circle dance and a 2017 Word document which has the dance has 4 couple longwise. The latter corresponds to the MiniCrib. Both mention “Clapyerhands” or “Clapyerhands 'n Stampyerfeet” and the latter mentions the deviser Ruary Laidlaw. I have emailed him to check but believe the later version is correct.
