Dr. John Raymond Dugan (Ray), a retired professor of French at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has been involved with Scottish Country Dancing since the early 1980’s. He received his full RSCDS teaching certificate in Toronto in 1997. Since then, he has taught classes with the Kitchener-Waterloo branch of the RSCDS and the Caledonian Scottish Country Dancers of Stratford, Ontario.
He has also been a guest teacher with various other groups, including Halburton, Ontario; Paris, France; and Sarasota, Florida. He and his wife Sylvia live in Waterloo, Ontario with their much beloved English Springer Spaniel, Murphy.
