Luitgard Merkens (SCD Group Münster/Germany) came up with this adaptation of The Cranberry Tart by Terry Glasspool for a 3 couple set, inverting the set each time. After the first turn the progression is 2,1,3. The next turn has the original 3rd couple as dancing couple with 3rd woman starting, followed 2 bars later by her partner. This variation seems sufficiently popular to have its own dance entry.

Good variation
Edwin Werner · Nov. 21, 2023, 9:54 a.m.
I think this is a good variation on Terry‘s original. I would only have used the English word (tartlet) instead of the French one, which makes it more consistent with tart vs. tarte.
