This dance was collected from Mrs Peter Nimmo of Vancouver. It is said to have been danced in Glasgow about the year 1860. As children it was played as a game and described the joys of ‘Rothesay at the Fair’ - swing-boats, Merry-go-rounds, etc. The last two figures show the return to Glasgow through all the railway tunnels and the walk home at the end.
