Dance devised for Kathy Reid.
Kathy’s parents live in County Mayo in the West of Ireland so needless to say Kathy does a bit of tin-whistlin’, and most of her practice is done in the kitchen while waiting for the kettle or some cooking utensil to boil. In the last 8 bars of the dance I have tried to portray the steam coming from the kettle as it comes to the boil (I have a keen imagination!)
