This tune is the same as “Blooms of Bon Accord” – see J. Scott Skinner, The Scottish Violinist, p.32, where it is called “Cockers Roses”.
Cockers Roses (without the apostrophe) is apparently a gardening company of considerable standing in Aberdeen. According to the company’s web site (http://www.roses.uk.com/history.cfm) it was established in 1840, so it is reasonable to assume that Skinner, who came from the area, was familiar with it.
